Selected Actor Filmography
Fabrice Luchini might be well remembered as the actor who completely reinvented stand-up comedy in France, by combining the most entertaining acting style and the most ambitious choice of classical authors. Whether dealing with Céline, Nietzsche, La Fontaine, Molière or Baudelaire, his shows have been consistently successful. In spite of an almost uninterrupted activity on stage, Fabrice Luchini has managed to bring onto the screen his wit and verve, thanks both to arthouse favourites (Benoît Jacquot, Pascal Bonitzer, Eric Rohmer - who launched his career in 1972 and worked six more times with him) and to mainstream directors (Patrice Leconte, Claude Lelouch, Cédric Klapisch among many others).
