Jason Statham

After competing in the Olympics as a diver, Jason Statham made a remarkable début in movies in Guy Ritchie’s sparkling first feature Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998). Jason’s athletic prowess and kung fu training have subsequently come in useful in films such as The One (2001) starring Jet Li, F. Gary Gray’s remake of The Italian Job (2003) and the Transporter franchise, directed by Louis Leterrier. But as one of the most sought-after British stars, Jason has proved that he is capable of playing much more than an action hero. He appeared in Michael Mann’s Collateral (2004), starring Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx, and is slated to feature alongside Steve Martin in the remake of The Pink Panther (2006). Revolver is Jason’s third film with Guy Ritchie after the massively successful Lock, Stock… and Snatch (2000), in which he co-starred alongside Brad Pitt and Benicio del Toro.
