Ewan McGregor
Selected Actor Filmography
Born in Scotland, Ewan McGregor started acting with the Perth Repertory Theatre, and was still a student at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama when he won a leading role in Dennis Potter’s BBC series, “Lipstick On Your Collar.” He has worked steadily ever since. McGregor played the lead role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in George Lucas’ celebrated three prequels to his initial “Star Wars” trilogy. He made his feature debut in Bill Forsyth’s “Being Human,” and the next year won widespread applause for “Shallow Grave,” his first collaboration with director Danny Boyle. In 1996 he starred in Boyle’s acclaimed “Trainspotting,” as junkie Mark Renton.
