Philip Seymour Hoffman |

 |
Hoffman began his film career with minor roles, including 1992’s Scent of a Women, but it was his work with Paul Thomas Anderson’s Boogie Nights (1997) that put him on the map of memorable bit parts. His role in Happiness (1998) got him nominated for the Independent Spirit Award Best Supporting Male and he later followed this with The Big Lebowski. In 1999 he played a male nurse in Magnolia. Other films include The Talented Mr. Ripley and Almost Famous (2000). Hoffman starred in the feature film CAPOTE, which he executive produced through his company, Cooper’s Town Productions, earning him a Golden Globe and SAG Award for his performance – and the Oscar. |
