Bio
Adams’s role in Phil Morrison's Junebug in 2005 earned her nominations for an Academy Award® and a SAG Award. She won an Independent Spirit Award, Broadcast Film Critics Association Award, National Society of Film Critics Award, a San Francisco Film Critics Society Award, as well as the Breakthrough Gotham Award. Adams also won the Special Jury Prize for Acting at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.Adams received her second Academy Award® nomination as well as a Golden Globe, SAG, BAFTA and Critic's Choice award nominations for her performance in Doubt. She also starred in Christine Jeffs' Sunshine Cleaning, Kevin Lima's Enchanted, Mike Nichols' Charlie Wilson's War, Bharat Nalluri's Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Adam McKay's Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Clare Kilner's The Wedding Date, Steven Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can, Reginald Hudlin's Serving Sara, Anthony Abrams' Pumpkin, and Michael Patrick Jann's Drop Dead Gorgeous.
She can also been seen in David O. Russell's The Fighter, Shawn Levy's Night At The Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian and Anand Tucker's Leap Year.
