Russell Brand (1975 - ) is an English comedian, actor, columnist, singer, author and radio/television presenter. After successfully exiting rehab, Brand achieved mainstream fame in the UK in 2004 for his role as host of Big Brother spin-off, Big Brother's Big Mouth. Although he had previously acted in television shows, his first major film role was in the 2007 film St Trinians.
"Ron and I wanted to make a film that looked at what it means to be an outsider and we wanted to explore what it takes to reach out to someone whose life is very removed from your own."
