Norwegian director Joachim Trier (1974 - ) had his feature film debut in 2006 with Reprise which has received a number of international awards, including the Best Director Award, Karlovy Vary 2006, Discovery Award Toronto 2006, Variety 10 Directors to Watch, Sundance 2007, Amanda for Best film, Best director and Best Screenplay, Haugesund, Norway 2007, as well as international recognition with prizes at festivals such as, Istanbul, Rotterdam & Milano. Joachim started filmmaking in 1995, writing and directing several short films, which won him a good dozen of international prizes, while he was attending film schools in Denmark and National Film & TV school, Beaconsfield, England. Oslo, August 31st is Joachim’s second feature film.
