Bio
Noah Baumbach wrote and directed The Squid and The Whale in 2005 and received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay. He won screenplay awards from the New York Film Critics Circle, the National Society of Film Critics, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the National Board of Review and the Toronto Film Critics Association. The Squid and the Whale also won Best Picture from the New York Critics Online and received three Golden Globe nominations, including Best Picture, as well as six Independent Spirit Award nominations, including Best Picture. Baumbach also wrote and directed Kicking and Screaming and co-wrote The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. He has also written for The New Yorker magazine.
