SYNOPSIS

Based on the Jay Anson book on which the original was based purported that the residents of a tree-lined home in a Long Island suburb were terrorized by a haunted house. The home had been inhabited previously by a disturbed young man who murdered his family. The film became a bit hit and hatched seven sequels. Bennett will play Chris Lutz, the trouble-making middle child in the "Amityville" family. George will play a young mother of three who moves into the infamous haunted house. Hall has signed on for the role of Father McNamara, while James and Moretz are taking on the roles of the family's children, Chelsea and Billy. Nichols plays the babysitter of the haunted couple's three kids.
