COMMUNITY RATING

Written by Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin, the film is an adaptation of the book which focuses on Billy Beane (Pitt), the general manager of the Oakland Athletics who used a sophisticated computer analysis system to piece together a team that regularly contended for the World Series despite a payroll dramatically lower than such big-market rivals as the New York Yankees. Hill plays Paul Podesta, the stats-happy assistant GM who helped Beane turn the losing team around. Morris will play the second wife of Beane.

Caught this at a screening last week. Excellent film. I can't stand baseball and thought I'd hate this one but no...I loved it. Hill and Pitt were a modern day Bob Hope & Bing Crosby.
