SYNOPSIS

Written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, this is based on the series that has sold more than 200 million copies worldwide. This sees Tintin (Bell) a young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure. Daniel Craig plays Red Rackham.

  Variety reports that Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson are teaming to direct and produce three back-to-back features - the films will be produced in full digital 3-D using performance capture technology. The two filmmakers will each direct at least one of the movies : studio wouldn't say which director would helm the third.

  2007-12-14 : After resolving the Paramount-DreamWorks divorce, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Paramount Pictures are in talks to co-finance the project. Paramount is planning to distribute in North America and some other English-speaking territories, while Sony would handle the foreign release. Kathleen Kennedy joins Spielberg and Jackson as a producer on the three films.

 Variety reports that Kathleen Kennedy and Steven Spielberg will produce the internationally acclaimed comic strip Tintin.
