SYNOPSIS

Written by Katherine Dieckmann, this focuses on what it takes to be a mother and a valentine to life in New York City, starring Uma Thurman, Anthony Edwards and Minnie Driver. Eliza Welch (Thurman) is a former fiction writer-turned-mom-blogger, who lives and works in a rent-controlled walk-up apartment in Greenwich Village. Eliza has two kids, a charming but absent-minded husband (Edwards), an arthritic dog, and is facing the soul-crushing fear that family life is sending her creative dreams down the diaper bin. This takes place in a single day that pushes these fears to the tipping point and challenges even this skilled maternal multi-tasker. Eliza has to prepare for and throw her daughter’s 6th birthday party, mind her toddler son, battle for a parking space, navigate playground politics, mend a rift with her best friend (Driver), take on a career-changing opportunity and realize what is truly valuable in her life -- all in one day.
