SYNOPSIS
A feature film composed of eight stories, to promote the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which aim to reduce world poverty by half by 2015. With these fiction films, each running some 15 minutes, LDM gave a free hand to name directors so that they could share with audiences their vision of the stakes related to our future. Jane CAMPION, Mira NAIR, Gael GARCIA BERNAL, Jan KOUNEN, Gaspar NOE, Abderrahmane SISSAKO, Gus VAN SANT and Wim WENDERS are embracing the challenge of « 8», in order to raise public awareness about the war on poverty.
