This is based on a remake of Kim Jee-woon's 2004 Korean box office hit Janghwa, Hongryeon (A Tale of Two Sisters). Craig Rosenberg adapted the English-language screenplay, with a rewrite from Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro. This sees modern-day teenage sisters Anna and Alex Rydell who return home from a mental hospital only to find their recovery unraveling because of a cruel stepmother (Banks), clueless father and a lingering ghost.
