The film follows a brainy ugly duckling (Trachtenberg) who realizes her dream of becoming a champion figure skater with the help of physics, a disgraced coach, three snooty ice princesses, a chorus of stage parents and the hunky boy who drives the Zamboni ice resurfacing machine. She would play Celeste, a pop singer who is protected by Keith Charles, played by series regular Matthew St. Patrick. Cusack is set to star as her mother. Kim Cattrall will play a former skating star who is an ice skating instructor who at one time had a chance to make the Olympics but now is helping Michelle Trachtenberg's character fulfill her skating dreams. Juliana Cannarozzo, Trevor Blumas and Hayden Panettiere round out the cast.
