The original 1968 Blake Edwards directed film starred Peter Sellers as an accident-prone Indian actor who is mistakenly invited to an A-list Hollywood party. He becomes a true party crasher, as his clumsiness leads to the destruction of everything in sight. The new version is about a hapless blond Midwesterner will have his appearance changed to resemble an Indian by a zealous studio eager he fit a part.
