Based on the South Korean film directed by Park Chan-wook, the original follows a man in his mid-30s who has been kidnapped by unknown captors and held in a room for years. On the 15th anniversary of his capture, he's knocked out and awakens in the middle of a city. The plot centers on his search to find out who kidnapped him, who's killed his family while he was away, and why.
