Based on the trial of the Scottsboro Boys, this sees Sobieski plays one of two women who accuse nine black youths of rape, making for one of the most volatile trials to take place in the segregated South. Azura Skye plays the second accuser, who recants and sparks a second trial that might clear the defendants, most of whom received the death penalty. Hutton plays Sam Leibowitz, a renowned Gotham defense attorney who has never lost a capital case.
