Formly known as "The Breakup Handbook" and "The Sexpert" this is a farcical comedy about a man (Foxx) who, after being unceremoniously dumped by his fiancee, pens a how-to book on breaking up and becomes a best-selling author on the subject. Not wanting his male friends to suffer the same fate, he gives them advice on dumping their mates, and a comedy of errors ensues. Chestnut will play Evan, the best friend of Foxx's character who gives him advice on how to break up with his girlfriend. Evan has commitment issues and breaks up with his girlfriends after three months and encourages Foxx's character to publish the book.
