Formerly known as The Wedding Party, this is a remake of the 1979 Warner Bros. film "The In-Laws," is about a secret agent and irreverent father of the groom Steve Tobias (Douglas) gives conservative podiatrist and father of the bride Jerry Peyser (Brooks) a bad case of pre-nuptial jitters when they finally meet during the celebrations leading up to the wedding of their children.
