Written by Daniel Taplitz, the story centers on a compulsive organizer (Reynolds) who decides to live his life without planning and in the process discovers love with Mortimer's character. Townsend completes the love triangle playing Buddy, the best friend of Reynolds' character who also falls in love with Mortimer's character.

Variety confirms that Marcos Siega will direct the film with Ryan Reynolds set to star. Inferno Distribution is financing the pic, which was originally set up at Warner Bros. Pictures. Golchan and Inferno Distribution's Bill Johnson are producing. Jim Seibel, Johnson's partner at Inferno, exec produces. Production is slated to begin in early 2006.
