After nine years in prison for the brutal beating of a black teen, Donnie Rose (Rossif Sutherland) is out with only one place to go—back to the same violent and racist neighbourhood that created him. When Donnie encounters his victim’s father, George Carvery (Danny Glover), both discover they share a similar desire to overcome the past. A suffering black community, however, still wants Donnie to pay for his crime in a grudge match against Ossie Paris (Flex Alexander), a devastatingly talented boxer. Weary of the violence, George and Donnie form an unlikely alliance. Against a backdrop of escalating racial tension, their partnership makes them outcasts from their respective tribes, who will only be satisfied by blood in the ring.
