Gist: This loosey-goosey script plays with Charlie Sheen’s public persona setting him up as a famous graphic designer whose life takes a nosedive after his girlfriend leaves him.
Prediction: Is there room on the Croisette for two films with a Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman pairing (opener Moonrise Kingdom)? We doubt it. Hence why A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charlie Swan III is our Hail Mary pick from our 70 predix. Something tell us that the solid union between Cannes and the Coppolas might mean Francis Ford presents On the Road, and Roman having debuted his first time with CQ at the fest, could use the fest as a buyer springboard. We imagine this could unfold in and out of comp and pretty much any section excluding Critics’ Week.
