Digital Witness: Annie Clark Added as 4th “XX” Helmer

Going the Peaches route, Annie Clark (St. Vincent) is replacing Mary Harron and joining femme fatale filmmaker quartet (Karyn Kusama, Jennifer Lynch and Jovanka Vuckovic) on XX — the horror anthology film produced by Roxanne Benjamin and XYZ Films. TheWrap reports that she is scheduled to film shortly. Magnet Releasing is distributing.

Gist: This is an anthology comprised of short horror films all revolving around a female protagonist.

Worth Noting: Producer/filmmaker Roxanne Benjamin knows a thing or two about the format: she was deeply involved in the V/H/S and Southbound anthologies.

Do We Care?: With a likely future TIFF playdate in the cards, we see plenty of upside with this project.
