There is not much horsing around in Lean on Pete, Andrew Haigh‘s fourth feature film coming off the success of Weekend and 45 Years. Presented very much in a matter of factly fashion, the road trip, coming-of-age journey where we feel the alienation of the young teen with a set of alienating circumstances bolted in familiar set of scapes. Winner of the Marcello Mastroianni Award (best actor at the Venice Film Festival), Charlie Plummer toplines this art-house drama which the A24 folks got behind prior to lensing. The premiere took place at the Bell Lightbox, with a lengthy post screening Q&A below with Haigh and Plummer.
