I'm not sure if there are any films out there on the invention of the electric battery (circa 1799), but there will be a feature based on the invention of the first vibrator (circa 1880) and director Tanya Wexler has set actress Sally Hawkins with a case of Hysteria. Production Weekly reports that Jonathan Pryce has also boarded the U.K. project which in scheduled to go into production in October.

With the help of his friend Edmund, a millionaire dandy with a passion for electricity, he comes up with the world's first vibrator, which proves wildly successful. Along the way, he falls in love with Dalrymple's fiery, beautiful oldest daughter, Charlotte. But there are other, loving eyes fixed on the good doctor...
