Cannes Critics’ Panel Day 6: Abbas Kiarostami’s Like Someone in Love

Published on

A second straight film outside his native Iran, Kiarostami’s set in Japan tale known as Like Someone in Love will not be receiving the same fate as his Palme d’Or winning The Taste of Cherries. More or less his thirteenth film in Cannes, for the most part, our jury think this is this isn’t up to the standard of his last film, Certified Copy (2010), but then again, it’s closer to several others in his filmography. The manner in which the film ends, my thinking a sequel is totally called for. Click the image to enlarge!
