If you’re a director showing a film in the Quinzaine, a.k.a the Director’s Fortnight, you begin your day with a public press conference in a tent on the Croisette near Palais Stephanie, you break for lunch and either continue doing press stuff and you conclude your day with a night screening among those that have worked their butts off to realize one vision. Here’s how a future rising star in America Independent cinema commenced his day, and then, in the clip below, how it came to a close.
