I need to brush up on my British comedians ‘cuz I wouldn’t know who this
guy is from a hole in the wall, even if the hole had his picture pinned to it
with his name underneath surrounded by flashing arrows showing me the way.
Whenever I’m corn holed about British cinematic trivia my automatic response is
always “Benny Hill!”

-“Who played General Zod in Superman?” “Benny Hill!”

-“Who created James Bond?” “Benny Hill!”

-“Who had 3 starring roles in Dr. Strangelove?” “Benny freakin’
Hill!”

-“Who slept with a black hooker just for the novelty factor while his
drop dead gorgeous girlfriend was waiting for him back home?” Well, we all know
that wasn’t Benny Hill, but I wouldn’t have put that past him… god rest his
soul…

So apart from being perfect (I suppose) to portray a young Hitchcock, I
can’t help but picture this Matt Lucas character in joining the ranks of such
living legends by the likes of Albert Finney and Victor Garber in the most
famous cue ball role of all time (next to Kojak, of course)… that’s right, Daddy
freakin’ Warbucks! Who called it!!! ME!!!!! That’s who!!! He will bring a tear
to your eye… mark my words…
