Though I thought Lou Ye’s last picture, the 2011 Toronto Film Fest preemed Love and Bruises was a grating, basically unpleasant piece of art-house cinema, I’m indeed curious as to how the auteur went about creating this murder mystery. After his five year ban, Mystery is his film shot in China revolves around an investigation into the mysterious death of a young woman involved with a married businessman.
