I’m sure [Rec] played well in multiple territories and was probably a profitable home vid title stateside, but the sequel which picked up plenty of tech type nods at the Gaudí Awards, pretty much fell off the radar after its premiere in Sitges. The main complaint is that [REC] 2 is the over-explained epilogue of sorts from volume I. The action continues from [Rec], with the medical officer and a SWAT team outfitted with video cameras are sent into the sealed off apartment to control the situation.
