You’ve got to be impressed by the type of director/actor relationship that spreads out onto several back to back films that have no relation to one another (no trilogies). Either Dito Montiel has enough clout to have his muse appear in all his work, or…Channing Tatum is such a young fine talent in the eyes of the studios – this is a two for one deal that economically makes sense.
Following their teaming up in the upcoming Fighting and their first pairing in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Variety reports that Warner Bros have hired Montiel to direct and rewrite the project and have the actor on board to star in The Brotherhood of the Rose.
The adaptation of the David Morrell novel will be produced by Basil Iwanyk at Thunder Road.
The story is about two orphans are raised by a CIA operative to become assassins, only to become targets themselves.
