A low budget indie that opened at Tribeca earlier this year, has been picked up Red Flag Releasing for a December 3rd theatrical and debut day-and-date release. After previously directing the family drama Winter Solstice, Josh Sternfeld tackled Meskada, a crime thriller starring Kellan Lutz, Nick Stahl, Rachel Nichols, Jonathan Tucker, Norman Reedus and Grace Gummer (Mamie Gummer’s younger sis).

Small town detective, Noah Cordin, must solve the burglary-turned-homicide of a three-year-old boy in an affluent suburb of Meskada County. Following his instincts and a tiny shred of evidence, Noah crosses district lines to Caswell, where he grew up, where times are tough and questions are not welcome. When Noah’s investigation brings about nothing but more suspicion, local politics threaten the survival of every Caswell resident by halting plans for a new factory that would create hundreds of much needed jobs and save their town. The dead boy’s mother, Allison Conner, sits on the Meskada County Board of Commissioners and will not rest until the killer is brought to justice; even if she takes the entire town of Caswell with her. Noah must expedite his investigation by any means possible as the two towns collide and the truth is forced into the light.
