Thinkfilm finds Helen Hunt’s directing debut

I'm not sure how these first look deals work out, but TH!NKFilm has reteamed with Killer Films on Helen Hunt's directing debut.

It hasn't received much buzz since here at TIFF, but Then She Found Me looks to satisfy the older crowds – based on the Elinor Lipman novel, Hunt plays a schoolteacher found by her birth mother (Midler) during a tumultuous time in her life. Broderick is playing Hunt's husband, and Firth a man she meets through one of her students.

ThinkFilm picked up the film around $2 million, with an additional $1 million coming from Canadian distrib TVA Films.
