Va Va Voom Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Note to self: remind me to take up smoking.

First official pics (for a pic cooler than any Virginia Slims ad look above) for Woody Allen’s Spain-shot ménage à trois quatre comedy have just made it on the web (thanks to Firstshowing.net) and what we appear to have here is what is most fun about the city of Barcelona: plenty of flowing red wine and beautiful girls. Woody managed to grab two of Spains’ leading thesps and is introducing us (or at least me) to television’s Lost-girl look-a-like Rebecca Hall. The thesp starred in The Prestige and Starter for 10 is next going to be seen in Ron Howard’s Frost/Nixon and Brit import Brontë. This hot tomale will next been show in Cannes (almost certain of it) and as mentioned just yesterday (01/31) has been bought by the The Weinstein Company

Just as New York City was the backdrop in Woody Allen’s
Manhattan, the stunning city of Barcelona is the setting for
the romantic adventures of Vicky and Cristina. These two young Americans spend a
summer in Spain and meet a flamboyant artist (Bardem) and his beautiful but
insane ex-wife (Cruz). Vicky (Hall) is straight-laced and about to be married.
Cristina (Johansson) is a sexually adventurous free spirit. When they all become
amorously entangled, the results are both hilarious and harrowing.
