The critics from the nation’s capitol are backing Danny Boyle’s audience pleaser. The Washington D.C. Area Film Critics followed in the footsteps of the National Board of Review placing Slumdog Millionaire as the year’s top film. Noticeable wins that buck the trend, Mickey Rourke finally gets a push in the Best Actor category for his tired, former professional athlete icon in The Wrestler and actress Rosemarie DeWitt the one who gets married in Rachel Getting Married receives a Best Supporting nod.
