Not sure what the title refers to (Micmacs are Native Indians) but Jean-Pierre Jeunet's next is shaping up to be a sort of Andrew Niccol's Lord of War – a satire on the world arms-trade. Warner Bros. has picked up the world rights to Micmacs à tire-larigot – this is Jeunet's long awaited return behind the camera since Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain and A Very Long Engagements.
Co-scripted with Guillaume Laurent, the pic will star Jamel Debbouze
(the dimunitive French actor with one working arm who also starred in Amélie as the greengrocer's assistant) and will begin shooting in April for a 2009 release.
