Williams not a typical ‘Tourist’

Back in August Production Weekly reported that Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor were booked for the project and now the duo becomes as trio as Michelle Williams has signed onto star in what might be an eye full of a project. Put in turnaround by Fox and then financed independently, the production for The Tourist begins in New York on Oct.13th.

Scripted by Mark Bomback, Jason Keller and Patrick Marber (Asylum and Notes From a Scandal) , McGregor plays Jonathan, an accountant disconnected from life, who is reinvigorated by his new friend Wyatt (Jackman), a powerful and charismatic lawyer, who introduces Jonathan to a mysterious sex club known as The List. Shortly after meeting the woman of his dreams, Jonathan becomes the number one suspect in not only the woman’s disappearance and possible murder, but also a $20 million theft. The project is being photographed by Dante Spinotti.
