A Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film of 2011, David Lowery commenced the 2012 at January Sundance Screenwriters Laband quickly began filming in the summer. Ain’t Them Bodies Saints has some brilliant technical folk behind the camera in Cinematographer Bradford Young and Production Designer Jade Healy, and has some heavy hitters in front of the lenses with Rooney Mara, Ben Foster and Casey Affleck.

Gist: Embracing the atmosphere and tone of a modern-day Western, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints tells the story of an outlaw who escapes from prison and sets out across the Texas countryside to reunite with his wife and the daughter he never met.

Release Date: Sundance Film Festival premiere – U.S Dramatic Competition. Look for the Weinsteins to swoop down on this one. This might be the title that ends up going to Cannes for its international debut.
