The gamble with depicting true-event miraculous survival stories is that it either becomes an ensemble, survival film (here we’re thinking a la Frank Marshall’s Alive replacing snow with cramped spaces or it abides to bold visceral and atmospheric choices a la 127 Hours. Gist: Based on the real-life event, when a gold and copper mine collapses, it traps 33 miners underground for 69 days.
