#34. Hubert Sauper’s We Come as Friends
Gist: Much in the same matter as fact tone as Darwin’s Nightmare – this looks at slave trade as it exists today, “in its modified way, a more industrial, massive and more global fashion than a hundred years ago.”
Prediction: His last docu was featured in Venice – so this will surely end up in a top tier film fest slot. This could easily fall into the Un Certain Regard or Special Screenings, but we’re thinking this is headed to the Directors’ Fortnight if it is indeed past the post-production point.
