Like several other media folks, this new project only came to our attention when the cool kids in film distribution landed the rights. With a 2017 full to the gills for the A24 folks, this project directed by newbie Austin Vesely and featuring artist Chance The Rapper wrapped filming in late September, so this means Sundance might have received a special rough cut fresh out of the oven. If this is Rian Johnson’s Brick type of dope, then maybe Slice and the fictitious town of Kingfisher has a legit chance. You’ll get the entire area code understanding in this comprehensive piece.
