2017 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: Margarita Jimeno’s My Life is a Soundtrack

Jury prize winner at Champs Elysees Film Festival’s U.S. in Progress this past summer, Margarita Jimeno’s sophomore feature currently titled My Life is a Soundtrack simply sounds dope. Described as a hybrid fiction, this is not Jimeeno’s first foray into music based docs – her debut Gogol Bordello Non-Stop won an award at the forward thinking fest with appreciate: CPH: DOX.

Gist: When international artist Peter Bjorn’s much anticipated show is panned by critics, he disappears. Finding refuge playing pipe organ music in a remote Polish village, he becomes fascinated by the sweet voice of a hiking nun. However, when Peter reads online that he is
presumed dead, he decides to go back and confront his past life.
