It’s a section I rarely allow myself to venture towards during the madness of what is the Cannes film fest, but in most cases and in this case, the rewards are fruitful. I had the opportunity to see a Cannes Classics selected film this year: prolific scribe Jean-Claude Carrière was on hand to present Luis Buñuel’s Belle de Jour (1967). Gérald Duchaussoy moderated the quick intro. This one is in French folks.
