Magnolia Pictures have picked up a Tribeca preemed title that would unfortunately receive underwhelming reviews – I say this because Serious Moonlight will be known as Adrienne Shelly’s last work. Magnolia are setting Cheryl Hines’ directorial debut for a November VOD release and December theatrical release.

Starring Meg Ryan, Timothy Hutton, Kristen Bell and Justin Long, this is about a troubled marriage on the precipice, centering on a high-powered female attorney who learns that her husband is about to leave her for a much younger woman, and holds him captive until he promises to stay with her and love her forever.
