Paramount Vantage Conjures Up Ghosts/Aliens

Date:

I wonder if three or four years down the road we’ll be looking at Paramount Vantage in terms of “before” and “after”. The median point might be when the parent company merged operations to save a buck, but it will probably be how their development slate changed — become more genre specific. With not too many future NCFOMs, Into the Wilds, There Will Be Bloods in the pipeline, today’s announcement belongs to the batch of comedy projects that PV’s president Guy Stodel is shepherding, re-tooling the division with the type of fair that seems fit for a certain 18-25 demographic that is elusive with more serious bait. THR reports that Vantage as co-acquired along with Comedy Central the rights to Ghosts/Aliens.

To be scripted by Phil Johnson, this is based on Trey Hamburger‘s supernatural comedy novel which centers on two pothead friends who set out on a quest to discover both ghosts and aliens.
