Exclusive: KimStim CUT TO Frank Beauvais’ “Just Don’t Think I’ll Scream”

Pushing the notion of cinema as a sanctuary to a personal extremes and artistic freedoms, the KimStim folks have landed North American Rights to 2019 Berlin Film Festival’s Forum sidebar selected Frank BeauvaisNe croyez surtout pas que je hurle / Just Don’t Think I’ll Scream. KimStim will open the film on February 19th at the Film Form in for an exclusive two-week engagement. Other cities throughout the US and Canada will follow. A short film filmmaker, curator and film fest programmer, Beauvais pieced together a personal cinematic memoir via 400+ films using the language of cinema in therapeutic measures.

KimStim has acquired all US and Canadian rights to Frank Beauvais’ melancholic ode to the power of cinema Just Don’t Think I’ll Scream for North America. The film had its world premiere in the Forum section of the 2019 Berlin International Film and was the opening night film last April at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Art of the Real festival.

The deal was negotiated between KimStim’s Co-President, Mika Kimoto and Julien Rejl of the Nates based distribution company Capricci on behalf of the producers Les Films du Bélier, Les Films Hatari and Studio Orlando.
