Oscilloscope Become Grounds & Gatekeepers for “Body”

Published on

A Slamdance Film Fest invitee and with a future Stanley Film Festival (3rd edition looks stellar) playdate locked up, Dan Berk and Robert Olsen’s well-received directorial debut has managed to find major support from the Oscilloscope folks. Starring Helen Rogers, Alexanadra Turshen, Lauren Molina and legendary Larry Fessenden, Body could possibly become a stocking stuffer for horror enthusiasts as it will receive a theatrical release later this year.

Gist: An idyllic Christmas holiday turns deadly when best friends Holly, Cali, and Mel break into a local mansion they believe to be unoccupied. But they quickly realize they’re not alone in the house, and in a moment of panic become embroiled in a grisly murder. The three girls self-destruct as they try to figure out what to do with the dead body in the living room.

Worth Noting: The directing pair have wore the producer’s hat on Chadd Harbold’s Revenge for Jolly!.

Do We Care?: It got slammed by the major trades after its Slamdance debut, but is finding a following among fans of the genre. We’ll look for it on the fest circuit.
