Family Plot: John Patton Ford Moves into Sophomore Feature “Huntington”

Published on

I recall researching filmmaker John Patton Ford for our Sundance predictions just prior to him launching Emily the Criminal (Best First Screenplay – Independent Spirit Awards) to put it simply he is a feel-good story of someone who tasted the promise of a break-out career to wait his turn only two decades later. So it’s nice to see the original L.A. underbelly thriller led by Aubrey Plaza has paid off big time. Deadline reports that he is now tapped to make his sophomore feature – teaming with StudioCanal and Blueprint Pictures’ Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin for what is coined as a “satirical thriller.” Titled Huntington, we’re looking at some future casting news and further packaging before this enters into production later this year.

Huntington tells the story of a super-rich upstate New York family and its young outcast, who hatches a murderous plot to work his way back into the family, in order to regain his birth right and inherit their fortune.
