2017 Sundance Institute: “Miss Juneteenth” & “Omni Loop Blues” in Creative Producing Program

Writers and directors aren’t the only creative folk receiving some Sundance Institute love. You might not know their names today, but fast-forward into the future and these young gun producers will likely have their paws on American indie offerings that are the make-up of the film fest circuit. The Sundance Institute announced the 11 feature film and documentary filmmakers hitting the mythic location next week. Alongside an industry vet mentors, we find projects and adjoined producers such as filmmaker Channing Godfrey Peoples’ debut Miss Juneteenth produced by Neil Creque Williams (alongside A Ghost Story‘s James M. Johnston), and a pair of Screenwriter Labs projects in Bernardo Britto‘s Omni Loop Blues with Ben Cohen producing and Tayarisha Poe’s Selah and the Spades with Lauren McBride producing. Here are the Fellows and projects selected for the 2017 Feature Film Creative Producing Lab:
